Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan recently decided to allot 20 acres of land in District Kharan. The purpose behind this is to develop a housing project to accommodate members of the minority Hindu community.

The Advisor to the Chief Minister on Minorities Affairs Denesh Kumar and Commander Frontier Corps (Kharan) Col Umar Farooq conveyed this information to the Hindu Panchayat in a meeting on Saturday.

The source reported that the government has fulfilled its promise by setting up the Minorities Affairs Department in Balochistan. The Panchayat informed the advisor about their various problems. They urged the implementation of a 5% job quota for minorities in government jobs.

The Advisor assured the Panchayat of the government’s intention to ensure the availability of facilities for the minorities. The government is playing important role in minorities in the development of Pakistan.

The CM’s Advisor revealed that the government had allocated almost PKR 1 billion for the progress of the minority communities.
